Why this build works

Crits bypass both flee and DEF, so a LUK-hybrid Assassin sidesteps the two things that usually blunt a melee build. Sonic Blow on Payon Stories can crit, which turns LUK from a consistency stat into a damage stat.

Frequently asked questions

Can Sonic Blow critical on Payon Stories?

Yes. The server's rework lets Sonic Blow crit and scale with crit damage, which is why LUK is a damage stat for this build rather than only a consistency one.

What does Sonic Acceleration do?

It raises Sonic Blow's damage by ten percent and adds fifty percent accuracy. That accuracy is a percentage of your hit rate rather than flat HIT, so it turns a sixty percent chance into ninety.

Katar or dual daggers?

Katars give the higher crit rate and simpler damage; dual daggers use the three-hit model and benefit from two separate weapons, each of which can be forged or carded differently.
